Such a lovely spot for breakfast! The kids' menu is fantastic — we had pancakes with scrambled eggs and bacon, and my kids absolutely loved it. I went for the breakfast burrito, which had a bit of a kick but was incredibly tasty. The place is cozy, clean, and the perfect way to start the day on a happy note.

The food here was amazing, especially the pulled pork breakfast burrito and the almond crunch French toast. Both were flavorful and perfectly cooked! Service, however, was just okay, a bit slow and not very attentive (3 stars for that). The atmosphere and seating were average, kind of like your typical diner (3.5 stars). That said, the food definitely made up for the service and setting. I’d absolutely come back, just come for the food, not the experience, and you’ll leave happy.

An unexpected gem - find old style diner comfort nestled away in this unsuspecting strip mall. We ordered a veggie omelette, hash browns, and a stack of gluten free pancakes. Everything exceeded expectations. The syrup was served warm with the pancakes, which were still steaming. The jam was also perfect, as they serve freezer jam here. We will definitely be back and are so thrilled we found this little respite on a winter day. Service was friendly and the food was delivered hot and fast.

Fell in love with the Lemon Blueberry Pancakes with the first bite.. Visited the Village Square Cafe for a weekend brunch and loved it.. Many of their breakfast/brunch items are served with a side of toast or hash brown or pancakes.. The staff is warm and patient with their suggestions and the hospitality is top notch. Would love to visit again and try all of their pancake, waffle and French toast offerings one at a time!!

Note: Do not trust their website when it says “No wait time, come on in!”. That’s what we saw at Monday at 10:30 A.M. and we arrived 10 minutes later to a 15 minute wait! Huge menu for breakfast/brunch! I’m my opinion the best deal is the Eggs Benedict, because it comes with either 3 pancakes or a slough of hash browns (see photo below). Service was on point, food hot and fresh and the bottomless coffee was always hot and fresh (although it was over $4.00)! Great experience, good menu, generous portions and perfect service. Highest rated breakfast food cafe we could find on the Eastside!

Village Square Café is such a cozy and welcoming spot! The food is fresh, comforting, and made with care — the breakfast plates are hearty, and the pastries taste homemade. The staff is warm, friendly, and always makes you feel like a regular. It’s the perfect place for a relaxed breakfast, brunch, or a casual coffee break. A true neighborhood gem. Highly recommend!

I'm a brunch guy. Everywhere I travel, I try some local brunch places, and god was I lucky to live near this one for a couple of years. For my money, the best tasting combo of eggs Benedict (particularly the California Benedict with added bacon) and French Toast (the three fruit one), and overall the best brunch place I've been to. It manages to sit in just the right spot between the very healthy hipster brunch style, with green salads as sides and sourdough bread instead of English muffin as a base, and the cholesterol crisis-inducing typical English/East Coast style, where the only potatoes are home fries drowning in oil. Tastes amazing, and leaves you feeling just the right amount of guilty. Additionally, service is friendly and timely, and the interior does a great job of being a lovely retro diner. I have been to a lot of brunch places, but this is the one for me. I make sure to visit as many times as I can when I'm in the area, and I just hope I keep finding reasons to visit. I didn't use expletives in the review, but if you want the real experience, just pepper them in throughout for emphasis. That's definitely how I was thinking it.
